There was a huge demand for entries and within 20 minutes of opening 440 were taken. Before an hour has passed all places were gone! Congratulations to those that got in and commiserations to those that didn't. We shouldn't apologise for having such a popular event and we cannot up the number of places because the Village streets are too narrow to accommodate a larger number of runners.
We will open a transfer window nearer the date so anybody who has a place but has decided they don't want to run, or are injured, can pass their place to somebody else.
Organisation: I am pleased to say that the Thurrock Harriers are again organising this event. By Runners for Runners! This site will remain 'live' as the central source of information for the 10k.
This race has a reputation for always bringing the sun out and last year was no exception.

The 10k road race takes place during the annual 'Feast and Fayre' in the historic village of Horndon-on-the-Hill. Whether you are a 'Serious Athlete', Jogger or Fun Runner this is the event for you. Make it a day out and bring your family and friends along for the Craft and Charity stalls, All day Street Entertainment, Plenty of Food and two of the best Inns in the County.
